Specialising in dressage, she has been an active competitor, qualifying horses and competing at all levels in the British Dressage National Championships and Internationally at Small Tour on The Sunshine Tour in Spain where she won at Intermediaire I level.

Dianne is a recognised British Dressage Trainer.

She started her dressage training with Stephen Clark and was employed on his yard schooling horses. Other international trainers include Kalman De Junerak in Germany, Ferdi Eilberg and present trainer for over 15 yrs, Carl Hester.

Dianne has trained many horses and riders from Novice to Grand Prix.

She is a sympathetic rider and trainer helping many clients to achieve their goals and improve their scores! Her training for the horse is focused on sound basic groundwork, throughness of the back and elasticity of the joints. This gradually achieves increased engagement through transitions within and between the gaits and in the lateral movements, and finally, improved collection.

For the rider Dianne works on position based on balance and the independence of the aids and shows the importance of riding the horse with the seat and leg aids into an elastic contact which brings the horse "to the bridle" in self-carriage.

Her clients are successfully competing affiliated Dressage from Prelim to PSG and many have been successful at the British Dressage Regional and National Championships. Dianne is also involved with BYRDS training (British Young Riders Scheme) and the British Dressage Apprenticeship. Her apprentices have competed Internationally, been successful in the talent Spotting Finals and have been winners at the National Championships.
